An honest look

At band rehearsal a week ago, we discussed what it means to live out this verse Psalm 34:1.

mouthI will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

So how have I done this past week? Well, my life this week looks something like this:

I will bless the Lord at all times sometimes, his praise shall continually be in my mouth God I want to praise You continually, but that is really hard to do because (insert excuse, cirumstance, ect here).

Did I give thanks to God in every circumstance this week? Nope. Failed at that.

In everything I did this past week, did I bring glory to God? Nope. Failed that too!

Did God remind me of Psalm 34:1? Yep.

Did God correct me when I spent a particular day this week with more complaining in my mouth than praise? Oh yeah! Along with reminding me of this.

Thank you God for Your grace, Your faithfulness and Your unfailing love.

I give you thanks, O Lord, with all my heart;
I will sing your praises before the gods.
I bow before your holy Temple as I worship.
I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.
As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.
The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.

Psalm 138: 1-3, 8a (NLT)
